J1 Visa Program Requirements

Intrax's J1 Visa Service is available to participants in the Intern and Trainee categories of the J1 Visa Exchange Visitor's Program. The objectives and requirements of these two programs are explained below.

Program Objective
Obtain practical experience to help reinforce your academic studies in a professional field while you learn about U.S. business culture.	Enhance your career through a structured training program and improve your knowledge of U.S. business culture.
Participant Requirements
18+ year old Must be enrolled in a university or college outside of the U.S. or have graduated from one within 12 months prior to the start of your internship Must be fluent in English	20+ year old Must possess a degree or certificate from a post-secondary institution outside of the U.S. and 1 year of professional experience; or must have 5 years of professional experience Must be fluent in English

Up to 12 months	Up to 18 months (12 months for hospitality and tourism)

Host Company Requirements
Employer Identification Number Dun and Bradstreet Number Worker's Compensation Insurance Annual revenue of $3 Million or a minimum of 25 employees*	Employer Identification Number Dun and Bradstreet Number Worker's Compensation Insurance Annual revenue of $3 Million or a minimum of 25 employees*

*If your Host Company does not meet this requirement, you may still be able to participate in the program if an Intrax representative conducts an in-person site visit. Intrax charges $195 in order to conduct a site visit. You will be responsible for paying this additional fee before the site visit is conducted.
